In March 2021, a group of artists with the twitter handle ‘BurntBanksy’ actually burnt an original $95,000 Banksy print. Though they didn’t obtain the copyright for the image, they minted it, claiming it is the first ever authentic Banksy piece being 'turned into an NFT', whatever that means…oddly enough they managed to sell it for $380,000.
